The Certificate I in Transition Education is a course for post-compulsory school aged learners with an intellectual disability to develop the skills to find the most appropriate option for them in the community. This may include employment, volunteer work or further study.

Students completing Certificate I in Transition Education may pathway into further specific vocational education and training.
Part time classroom based delivery.
Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals. Students must also complete the ACER assessment at SuniTAFE under supervision.
