This qualification reflects the role of administrative workers in the health industry. These workers follow known routines and procedures, taking responsibility for their own work under general supervision. They combine communication, customer service and technical skills, and use discretion and judgment to adapt and transfer their skills to different situations.
This qualification could lead to employment as a Health Administrator, whom are part of a team responsible for ensuring smooth operation of a hospital, hospital system or health care organisation.
Certificate IV Health Administration
The program will be delivered over a period of 9 months for full time students. Classroom delivery will be simultaneously delivered across three campuses : Mildura, Swan Hill and Robinvale. This qualification also includes 40 hours of placement hours for non-trainees.
Must have a Working with Children Check and a Victorian Police Check. Must be 16 years of age at time of enrolment. Interview with teaching staff and/or Manager responsible for this qualification. Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals. Complete a course application including an interview. Successfully complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test (LLN). A clear drug screen may be required prior to placement - dependant on Industry requirements.
