Overview

An Automotive Motorcycle Repair Technician generally services and repairs the mechanical parts of motorcycles such as the engine, fuel system, transmission, suspension systems and braking system. Other duties may include repairing and servicing cooling systems, emission control systems, final drive assemblies and steering systems. Repairing ignition, electronic engine management and electrical systems can also form part of their job. This qualification will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to perform these tasks, meeting industry standards. The qualification is suitable for new employees and for existing employees who are looking for skills recognition or development.

This qualification prepares employees for roles in the automotive service and repairs industry, working specifically as an automotive motorcycle repair technician.

Pathways

Further training pathways from this qualification include Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis, Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling or other relevant qualifications.
